Abstract

SUMMARY

DNA-R, a replicate intermediate of adenovirus type 2 (ad. 2) DNA with a linear structure, contains a small amount of single-stranded material which can be digested by specific nucleases. The sedimentation properties of the digestion products are consistent with the assumption that DNA-R represents molecules of ad. 2 DNA replicating unidirectionally.
